May. 4th, 2004 01:46 amMondays are nice because I actually get stuff done. I finished up with my computer's issues--I gave in and did a reinstall of my reinstallation. It was screwy from day one. This weekend, I got it working again but had to finish installing a bunch of stuff today. I also did administrative work--answering emails (including one that I received from the author of the book that taught me to tat, which I thought was pretty cool) and a couple of site fixes and all those little things that pile up when you think "Oh, that'll just take a second." I developed a headache in the afternoon just before I started working on book ideas. I need Nanowrimo back, apparently. :) I also updated my tatting blog today. Finally. I stay behind on that thing all the time.
I got to open a tiny present tonight after midnight. My precious husband bought me three packs of needle-threaders. I now have twelve of them, and I don't sew. *giggle* I did mention to him last week that I broke two of them in one day, but what I didn't tell him was that it was a fluke, and not one likely to be repeated. It was a terrific sentiment, though, since he knew I needed them. No loss--I'll just be well-stocked for a few years. :) That's honestly my favorite sort of gift, even if it didn't work out quite like he had planned this time. I'm a little sad because I know almost everything I'm getting for my birthday (and I think I have a good guess on the unknown.) I've enjoyed picking out exactly what I want, but still, it does lose a little bit when it comes time to open presents. Oh, well. I've already been given happiness and love this year by a certain Australian who started my birthday early so what more could I possible ask for this year?!
Anyway. I've been trying to write this for hours and I keep finding things to go do instead of write, so I guess I'm not in the mood for it. There are clean sheets and I am freshly showered. I'm reading a new book. I can see no logical reason for me not to be in bed. Well. Except for the fact that the clean sheets aren't actually ON the bed, but heaped there in a disheveled fashion. Must drag M away from computer game to help me with that..
