Home again, home again! I went to bed last night with a bee in my bonnet about getting home. We were up and on the road before nine this morning, which is pretty unique for us. We even remembered to stop and pick up M's car! We were also quite productive this afternoon after we got home, and then again this evening. I think we've pretty much decided that we need a new place to go on vacation, as we're a little burnt out on the Gatlinburg deal. Actually, we didn't even drive into Gatlinburg itself this time. The traffic there? It sucks. And we almost never get out of the car anyway. Much as usual, we neglected to take all that many pictures, though I did get a pretty good one of Christmas lights. Very hard to take good pictures of lights.
Something that I don't understand. How is it that I have gotten through 26 years of my life without getting into origami? I impulse-purchased a book at Barnes & Noble last week.. it's Christmas-related origami with perforated papers. (It's also really clever because after you use up all the paper, the cover was designed for you to cut that part off and you end up with a mini book instead of a long flopsie one without pages on one side. It's so much fun! I have always been a major fan of paper, which is something of a joke with the family. So far I have made two stockings, a four-pointed interlocking star, three candles and a really neat standing Christmas tree. It's so neat!
M and I are on a major popcorn kick lately. How can something so simple be so good? (Yes, this is my clever little way of saying, must go munch on salty snacks. Toodles!)
