The birthday weekend is drawing to a close, and I would just like to say that it's been a nice one. It's not too bad to celebrate your birthday for four days in a row! And although I would just as soon go on celebrating for another week or two (that husband of mine can be very nice when he gets a notion to) I guess that it's just as well. It's probably time that we eat a meal or two at home! And perhaps stop spending money like crazy.. although that one was rationalized by the fact that we didn't end up staying anywhere overnight and paying for a motel. And for the love of cheese, I really don't need to rationalize anything.

I do love cheese.

But not stinky cheese. Or weird cheese. Just melty, bubbly cheese. Mmmm. I think maybe I didn't quite get done eating dinner tonight.

Anyway! Today we went to Mammoth Caves and poked around. Actually, there is a whole post relating to that adventure, but totte is posting that because it is more his style of story than mine. Let's just say that by the time we left, we were tired and damp. Since it's a little more than a two hour drive, we were feeling better by the time we got back to town, but I was still feeling a little worn.. at least, I was until the boyo (in perhaps his last act of birthday kindness for this year) went and scrubbed the bathtub and ran me a nice hot bubblebath. He even let me use his SpongeBob SquarePants bubble bath! (True love!) Bubble baths are such mood-fixers and I am feeling so happy and relaxed.

(Maybe his actual last act of birthday kindness was that he spent the entire time I was in there sorting through his MP3s to make a new CD, and so I didn't have to listen to bits and pieces of his crappy music.)
