(no subject)

It has been a rough but good day chez yayer. I cannot even believe all the stuff we got done, and how much time we spent together, and what a foul mood our baby was in. I think she's cutting more teeth--her ped said last week that she seemed to be getting a molar, and hey, she will be a bear while that's coming in! And, yes. We took her outside this morning to be in the playpen while we were working, and that was excellent for half an hour. The day went far downhill from there. She has been shrieky and malcontent and clingy and BAD. Bless her heart.

Sweet moment of the day, though. I was nusing her to sleep for her nap this morning, after hours of her whining, and she bit me. She usually doesn't bite on purpose, but I pulled her away for a minute and decided it was a good time to switch sides anyway, so I pulled her up to my shoulder while I got the girls ready. She lifted her little face up to mine and kissed my chin, two sloppy open-mouth kisses, and then she laid her head on my shoulder. It was so sweet--it was, "Mommy, I am sorry for biting you, and I am sorry for my terrible mood today. I love you a lot. Thank you." Alright, maybe I am reading too much into it but well, why not? It made me feel warm and tingly and happy and it doesn't hurt anyone, so I'm good with it.

i would write about all the stuff that we did but no one cares and besides that, I am falling asleep at my desk. In the end, we have pretty much the same amount to do as before, as we keep coming up with more projects. My grandmother always said that you should never move into your house until it was completely finished, because otherwise it will never get done. She died last year after living in the same house they built over fifty years before, and she still considered it unfinished. Now that I have a house of my own, I can so understand what she meant. Maybe one day...
