Yesterday, I pulled a beetle out of my child's mouth. It was unspeakably gross, and yet, not so gross as it would have been mere seconds later. I saw her put something in her mouth and flew across the room to intervene, and thus, the bug was whole and unchewed. I cannot even imagine the revulsion caused by removing it in pieces. Seriously, I can't get her to eat zucchini bread but she will eat a bug? Kids are really, really dopey.

M vacuumed today. Perhaps we will not have a repeat of this episode.

Reminds me of the time my friend's daughter put a snail in her mouth while they were on a walk. So French of her, although where is it that they eat beetles?

lol... you are a quick mama! I ate 1/2 a slug when I was her age. To this day I cannot eat squishy things (mushrooms, eggplant, etc) You saved her from a life time of food issues. ;^)
